Hermès celebrates Milan store opening with exhibition of Pégase d’Hermès

Hermès celebrates new Milan flagship store opening on Via Montenapoleone with an exhibition of Pégase d’Hermès, on display in the city’s Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II until October 17. The inauguration of the new Hermes flagship is scheduled for 15th October at 12, Via Montenapoleone, Milan’s ‘quadrilatero’ – the prominent luxury shopping destination.

The choice of Pégase statues has a special meaning for the French luxury maison, the Pégase being its symbol, which was created by artist Christian Renonciat in 1987. It was inspired by the bronze sculpture ‘Eloge du Cheval’, which was also built by Renonciat for the famous Ecole National d’Equitation in Samur, France. Made of beautiful handcrafted wood, the wings represent the free spirit of Hermès, the pursuit of beauty in nature and flying towards the future.
