Hermes to open 40 home collection stores in 2012

French luxury maison Hermès is present, this week, for the second year in a row at Milan’s Salone Internationale del Mobile, the world’s largest furniture and design exhibition, with a furniture collection entitled MODULE H created by Japanese designer Shigeru Ban. The Module H collection by Hermès comprises of modular architectural elements to decorate walls and create inner walls.

With the occasion of the presentation of the new project in Milan, the head of Maison Division (home collections) at Hermès, Helene Dubrule confirmed the company is scheduled to open 40 home collection dedicated sales points in 2012, aiming for the maison division to reach a share of 4% of the entire company within the next five years. China and Japan are among the two priority markets for the Maison Division. During her interview to MFF, Dubrule ruled out any ”Hermes hote” or ”Hermes building” project.
