HEC launch EMBA with Luxury Major at QATAR FOUNDATION
The module aims to endow participants and executives with all the skills and understanding necessary to develop and manage luxury brands and companies. Taught by Professor Jean-Noël Kapferer, participants spend a week each in two of the world’s leading fashion centres: Paris and Milan. But, “this is not a fashion major,” clarifies Kapferer. “We are interested in uncovering the successful strategies behind luxury cars, services and more.”
Qatar is the latest addition to HEC’s worldwide locations; the school finalized a partnership agreement with Qatar Foundation to offer executive education programs and conduct research activities there last year, and in February 2011, the EMBA program was launched becoming Qatar’s first EMBA program.
Major luxury groups such as LVMH, Richemont Group and Gucci Group have been regularly recruiting graduates from HEC MBA programs in the past decades, the HEC being considered among the top in Europe.
