Gucci to open in Milan first men’s only store in Europe
On June 23, during Milan Fashion Week, Gucci is opening in Milan’s Brera district its first men’s only store in Europe. This is the first such opening for a major luxury brand outside Milan’s iconic ‘Quadrilatero’ (Montenapoleone, Spiga etc) luxury shopping hub. The new Gucci men’s store will be situated opposite Accademia di Brera, with 9 ample windows and main entrance on Via Fiori Chiari as well as windows on Via Brera. The new store will feature a dedicated space for ‘Lapo’s Wardrobe’ the sartorial Made-to-Measure line designed by Gucci’s Creative Director Frida Giannini and Lapo Elkann. Kering Group’s Bottega Veneta is the next major store opening in Milan’s Brera district.
Gucci’s direct competitor, Prada will also open the first phase of its mega-store in Galeria Vittorio Emanuele, in July, entirely dedicated to men and covering over 1.000 sqm.
