Gucci opens in Sao Paolo sixth men’s dedicated store
Italian luxury house of Gucci is opening next week its sixth international men only store in the new JK Iguatemi Mall in São Paulo (Brazil), which opened its doors last month. The 3,600-square-foot shop will be Gucci’s sixth men’s-only location, following men’s shops in Seoul, Tokyo, Shanghai, Beijing and Paris, all of which have opened since October.
“Brazil is a very important market for Gucci, and with JK mall being one of the most unique and luxurious shopping centers in the country, we felt it was a perfect location to open our first exclusively men’s Gucci store in the Americas,” said Gucci creative director Frida Giannini, who oversaw the shop’s design concept. Signature Gucci materials like marble and rosewood were updated with Art Deco elements such as ribbed glass, polished gold and smoked bronze glass. Gucci’s distinctive criss-cross Diamante pattern is etched on the shop floor.
