German luxury group MEISSEN opens luxury flagship in Milan
German luxury brand announced the opening of its very first international flagship showroom, VILLA MEISSEN, in Milan with the occasion of the upcoming Salone del Mobile, Europe’s largest furniture and interior design fair.
Located in the 16th Century Casa Carcassola-Grandi, one of city’s earliest and most historical homes, this majestic space will play host to the many facets of the 300 year-old MEISSEN brand. As a world centre for culture, architecture and design, the Milan opening plays homage to where King Augustus, the brand’s founder, discovered his passion for the arts.
VILLA MEISSEN will provide a global platform, showcasing the recent diversification of the group, as well as introducing MEISSEN HOME. Core to the brand’s DNA, MEISSEN HOME encapsulates discrete European luxury with a nod towards its royal roots. VILLA MEISSEN hopes to welcome interior designers from around the world offering bespoke services for the execution of interior projects ranging from private residences to yachts. Villa Meissen will be the first destination in the world which captures the complete essence and soul of our brand; its new luxury interiors, its limited edition porcelain, artworks and its fine jewellery collections.
One of Europe’s oldest luxury brands, set up in 1710 by King Augustus, MEISSEN has been mostly known for its porcelaine manufacturing, however, the group today includes MEISSEN Joaillerie (launched at Baselworld in March 2011), MEISSEN HOME and MEISSEN FINE ART/artCAMPUS.Meissen Group is still owned by the regional government of Saxony.
