Galeries Lafayette to shut down third store in France
French department store group Galeries Lafayette announced this week it will close a third locati0n in France. After the announced closures of its locations in Thiais and Béziers, Galeries Lafayette in Lille will shut down in 2016 when the lease expires. The store has never been profitable since opening 2007 despite the high footfall. Apparently, rue de Béthune in Lille is the second in France in terms of pedestrian traffic.
