French beauty market in decline

The French beauty market reports a slower decline in 2014, of 0,6% compared to 0,9% in 2013, totaling 2,9 billion euros. According to NPD Group Europe, sales picked up on the fragrances and make-up categories, compensating for the declining performance of all other categories. NPD highlights innovation, especially in marketing, as one of the key drivers of the growth in the fragrances sector in 2014. The ladies’ fragrances market raised by 0,6% in value in 2014.
