Franck Muller – a Successfull Story in Eastern Europe

Starting with the official opening of monobrand store FRANCK MULLER in JW Marriott, the famous swiss brand has made another important step in becoming market leader in Eastern Europe, thus topping many Richemont brands.
This is not only about a presence on the retail market but also a reputation that the brand has managed to build in Eastern Europe. The most important market in the Eastern Europe is Bulgaria (without including Russia and the Ukraine), where the brand is active since 2005. Mr. Dimitar Mirov is the puppet master behind the company representing Franck Muller, playing the role of both manager and ambassador for the brand here in Romania.
The brands’s history is even more interesting as Mr. Mirov did not benefit from a specific education in luxury or time pieces and calls himself a “self made professional” who has learned and perseveered firstly due to his passion for watches. Since sixteen, Mr Mirov had the opportunity to learn the secrets of the trade from Edmond Avakian, a refference on the jewelry/watches segment at an European level (twice winner for best jeweler in Europe).
The relatively fresh entrance on the romanian market does not allow an evaluation of performances, but the constant, discreet and efficinet presence on the romanian luxury market is a clear indicator of a coherent strategy concerning Romania. It remains to be seen how the international crisis will affect the brand, especially since we are talking about a brand that is still developing awareness that is still forming as we speak.
