Four Seasons Hotel Beijing opens September 28

After the opening of its property in Guangzhou in July, Four Seasons opens on September its flagship property in China, in the capital of Beijing. Scheduled to open September 28, 2012, Four Seasons Beijing, the chain’s 88th property worldwide, is locatedin the Liangmahe area of the Central Business District, close to the Third Diplomatic Precinct in northeastern Chaoyang .

The new Four Seasons Beijing features imperial style accommodations, with 247 guest rooms and 66 suites,  two restaurants and three lounges, including Cai Yi Xuan Chinese restaurant, Mio Italian restaurant, and a tea garden, plus nine private dining rooms and 3,250 square metres (35,000 square feet) of event space highlighted by the 900 square metre (9,700 square foot) pillarless Imperial Ballroom. The hotel provides and Executive Floor Lounge on the 26th floor, with panoramic views of the city.

Drawing on principles of traditional Chinese architecture, the main hotel entry impresses with its wide façade, reminiscent of the city’s Imperial Palaces.  Inside, the lobby welcomes with energizing colours, textures and familiar motifs, such as a hint of a dragon’s image in the carpet, bringing good fortune to all who enter, or the ceiling panels in gold leaf and yellow, a distinctive Imperial colour. Overall, the look ofFour Seasons Hotel Beijing is a dramatic combination of traditional themes in complete harmony with contemporary tastes for gracious simplicity and elegance.

The Spa offers traditional Chinese and rejuvenating treatments in 11 treatment pavilions, a sun-lit 20 m indoor pool on the 6th floor and 24-hour gym. The Health Club encompasses 117 square metres (1,259 square feet) of dedicated workout space with a wide range of state-of-the-art equipment by Technogym. Facilities include an exercise room, sauna, steam rooms for men and women, sunlit pool, cardiovascular machines and free weights.
