FERRAGAMO CEO expects smaller impact on luxury sales in Japan

In a recent interview, Michele Norsa, CEO of Salvatore Ferragamo, one of the leading international luxury brands in Japan, with 83 points of sales expects the impact of the earthquake and tsunami to have a lesser impact on sales of luxury. He noted that the most affected areas have been the rural ones, which have a smaller contribution to the country’s GDP than Osaka, Tokyo and Kobe. Most of the company’s staff returned to work normally and have shown a strong resiliance.
