Steps from Piazza Duomo and the main shopping streets such as Via Montenapoleone and Via Manzoni, PARK HYATT has maintained since opening its leading position among deluxe hotels in Milan. Whether on business or leisure, the Park Hyatt is the ideal choice when visiting Milan.
The hotel's contemporary interior design is not only modern but also provides a feeling of warmness and comfort. Rooms are fair in size to European standards and close attention has been paid to all details such as soundproofing, airconditioning and in room technology (Bang Olufsen LCD, sound and telephone). Beds are large and very comfortable with soft satin cotton linen. Bathrooms are huge and provide the feeling of a ''personal in room SPA'', unseen in other Milan five star contemporary hotels.
The all too familiar air of superiority or arrogance so often found in service, especially at the top luxury hotels in Italy, is inexistent at Park Hyatt. Staff provide a genuine service, being curteous at all times. Concierge staff are attentive and anticipating needs, desires and wishes.
The main restaurant is flawless in service and quality of dishes, without being ''over creative'', often to be found in deluxe hotel restaurants. In room dining is so pampering, especially breakfast.
There are several areas the hotel can improve such as name recognition (not all staff have the same English proficiency and need to improve on accent), the main door welcome (sometimes staff look ''busy'') as well as the flower arrangements, especially in the public areas.
It has been such a pleasure speaking with some other guests in the gallery bar about how they perceive the Park Hyatt has been improving with the time passing, which is so rare these days when the evolution is mostly downwards. Overall, I consider the PARK HYATT is the ideal choice for discerning travellers to Milan and a treat to all those returning loyal guests.
