Grand Hotel Rex, a five star reference for the Romanian seaside
Review 30 March 2009Although we have only spent 24 hours in the famous hotel from the romanian shores of the Black Sea, we can state that it was enough in order to realize that things have changed… for the good. The “dusted” image from previous years has been replaced by a total redecoration with a lot of good taste. We have been impressed with the attention for detalis, the originality, the new elements which blend in very smoothly. Grand Hotel Rex is also impressing from the client service point of view, especially since the clientelle for Rex is “difficult” to say the least. The facilities for the hotel are ranked as five-star, but still there is room for improvement. In our opinion, the five-star hotel Vega in Mamaia represents welcome competition for Rex but especially for Iaki, one of the top contenders.
