Grand Hotel Continental, the new five star hotel to open in Bucharest

Romanian privately owned hotel chain CONTINENTAL owned by businessman Radu Enache annouces officially on its website the re-opening of its flagship hotel The GRAND HOTEL CONTINENTAL at a five star rating, follwing extensive renovation and restoration works. The hotel has began recruiting its staff as early as March 2009 and the commercial gallery of approx 200 sqm has been rented 80%. There have been many rumours regarding the affiliation of the Grand Hotel Continental to a luxury international chain, yet, probably the legal issues concerning the ownership of the land it occupies have kept major chains away from the property. Another reason for non-affilliation might be the small number of the rooms and the average surface of its rooms. Mention should also be made the hotel commands a most central location on Calea Victoriei Avenue.
