DOLCE GABBANA’s troubles are far from over

In 2007, Italian Fiscal authorities formally accused Dolce Gabbana SpA for fiscal fraud and embezzlement the damages amounting to EUR 700 million. In order to pay less taxes, Dolce Gabbana SpA established a company in Luxembourg and conducted all major operations through this company. Since 2007, the legal proceedures in Italian courts and authorities have been undergoing various bureaucratic stages, yet it seems the authorities are not willing to back down. They are now talking of EUR 900 million which Dolce Gabbana owes to the Italian State.

This could not have come at a worst time, considering Dolce Gabbana, much like some of the other Italian luxury brands are suffering because of the financial crisis.
