DIRK BIKKEMBERGS saved by Italian Group ZEIS

Italian group ZEIS, owned by Maurizio Pizzuti announced it has gained control of troubled Belgian fashion brand DIRK BIKKEMBERGS, through a licensing deal aimed at saving both lines of the brand. For more than two years, the company has been struggling due to the 111 million euro fiscal fraud for which its owner/founder had been charged with.

Starting with the Fall/Winter 2011/2012 season, the fashion pole of the ZEIS Group which has been a licensee of other brands such as Virtus Palestre and Sebago, will be manage all production, distribution and marketing for the two lines of Dirk Bikkembergs (Bikkembergs and Sport Couture). The swimwear and underwear lines will continue to be produced in licensing by Albisetti Group.

ZEIS Group owner also announced that a women’s line of Bikkembergs will be launched next year. The company already inaugurated a mono brand store in Verona, Italy and plans more international mono-brand stores, while optimizing wholesale distribution.
