Dior opens new store in Barcelona on Passeig de Gracia
Dior has opened its third standalone store in Barcelona on the prestigious shopping street of Passeig de Gràcia.
The new Dior boutique occupies spacious ground floor unit of a landmark building which was renovated and given an acclaimed ornate façade in 1904 by Catalan architect Enric Sagnier i Villavecchia. the interior design, created bylongtime collaborator Peter Marino, takes cues from the luxury brand’s flagship on avenue montaigne in Paris, but is infused with modern elements and one-off artworks and furnishings to give it a unique setting.
The palette combines greys, silver, metallic, and last but not least, plenty of mirrors, captured by a variety of materials and textures. The store features artworks such as floral murals of french artist Yoram Mevorach, a sculptural fireplace created by fraternal contemporary artists Juan and Paloma garrido. The VIP lounge, furnished with pieces from designer Sebastian Brajkovic’s lathe collection.
