The newly opened Art Centre will present two exhibitions every year, following its original overarching concept of organizing two five-year cycles in parallel. Winter exhibitions will highlight the great pictorial movements which made their mark on art between 1800 and 1950: Divisionism, Realism, Romanticism, Expressionism and Symbolism.
Chateau de Villa - located in the nearby village of Sierre, the restaurant is housed within an authentic 16th-century château. Chef Didier De Courten, awarded 2 Michelin Stars and a Gault&Millau guide score of 19/20, has been mastering memory of taste, using local ingredients and produce.

Colombire’s Alpine Farming Museum has been extended and transformed into an ecomuseum to showcase traditional cattle farming. Visitors are given an informative and visually appealing explanation of the “vertical” farming method that was traditionally necessary to meet the needs of cattle and crops (cattle driving from village to village, living in high-altitude chalets and managing the land).

“Brisolée”: November ushers in the delightful celebration of an old Valaisan tradition known as the brisolée, either in the home or in a restaurant. This consists of roasted chestnuts with various kinds of alpine cheese – neither too fresh nor too dry – and sauser (young, not yet fully fermented wine). In some regions grapes and apples are also part of the meal.
