Coin to open luxury department store EXCELSIOR in Verona, Italy
After the successful opening of its first luxury department store EXCELSIOR last year in Milan, Italian retail group COIN is opening next year the same concept in the Northen city of Verona. The new EXCELSIOR store will follow the same concept as the Milan location, a former cinema downtown, which was converted into a contemporary space by famous architects Jean Nouvel and Vincenzo de Cotiis, following an investment exceeding 45 million euros.
In keeping with the concept of the Milan store, the Excelsior in Verona will benefit from collaborations with the most important buyers, owners of famous multi-brand stores. According to Italian media, Francesco Galli, the owner of the Folli Follie, a chain of five boutiques in Northern Italy is one of the collaborations selected. The Coin Group also confirmed future openings of Excelsior stores in Naples and Rome. According to Coin’s CEO, the EXCELSIOR Milan is expected to break even during the first half of this year.
