Clessidra Fund acquires Italian high jeweller Buccellati
Italian investment fund Clessidra announced earlier this week it had acquired 70% stake in luxury jewellery Buccellati, for a reported 80 million euros. The Buccellati family remains involved in the business – Gianmaria Buccellati as Honorary President and his son Andrea Buccellati as CEO. The house of Buccellati was founded in 1919 and along with Bulgari is known as one of the most famous Italian high jewellers. Buccellati’s turnover is estimated at 60 million euros, with retail presence in Italy, France and the UK.
