China, now on the runway shows calendar of Dior, Gucci, Armani, Lanvin and Gaultier
Emphasizing the critical importance of the Chinese market, major international luxury fashion houses have been increasing their marketing efforts in China in the past years. French luxury maison of Christian Dior organized last week a lavish event in Shanghai, featuring the runway show of its latest haute couture collection. The Dior event in Shanghai took place at the House of Roosevelt which was converted to resemble Dior’s iconic showroom in Paris on Avenue Montaigne.
On April 21st, Gucci will host a runway fashion show of its latest women’s and men’s ready to wear collections in Shanghai. The event which will be attended by Gucci’s Creative Director Frida Giannini, will be followed by an exclusive cocktail, gathering top Chinese celebrities.
Lanvin will host on April 26th a runway show of its latest collection in Beijing, with Alber Elbaz, its Creative Director, attending. Giorgio Armani will round up the fashion shows in China this Spring, with a major catwalk show on May 31st. The Armani fashion show will also mark the company’s over 10 year presence in China.
