CHANEL to present exceptional pieces of high jewellery at Biennale des Antiquaires 2012
On the occasion of its fourth participation in the “Biennale des Antiquaires” (14-23 September, 2012, Paris) , Chanel will present more than a hundred High Jewellery pieces as well as new jewellery watches from its Mademoiselle Privé” collection.
Among these jewellery pieces, Chanel will highlight the “1932” collection, which celebrates the 80th anniversary of the “Bijoux de Diamants”, the first and only High Jewelry collection created by Gabrielle Chanel, in 1932. This anniversary collection draws its inspiration from the symbols that coloured Gabrielle Chanel’s imagination. A magical constellation of white, yellow and black diamonds, pink and blue sapphires and pearls, exalts the beauty of the emblematic designs of Chanel Fine Jewellery: comets and stars, the sun, fringes, ribbons and feathers…
For the very first time in its history, Chanel offers a head jewel, highlighted with diamond stars and softened with fine baguette-diamond chains that flow over the hair. The Lion is Chanel Fine Jewellery’s new icon and the latest addition to its style vocabulary.
Chanel will aslso present its new jewellery watches from the “Mademoiselle Privé” collection, dedicated to the “métiers d’arts” and their techniques. Inspired by the Lion, Comet and Feather designs, these original pieces combine the most refined techniques of engraving, “grands feux” enameling and stone setting.
