Chanel reopens accessories store in Paris on Avenue Montaigne
Spread over 4,220-square-foot, the newly reopened Chanel accessories store in Paris features an interior in beige, white, gold and furnished with tweed sofas and vintage lamps. Along with Chanel’s collection, the store also boasts of arty collection shaped by Andrew Dadson, Johan Creten, Gregor Hildebrandt and others. WWD also reports that costume jewelry is displayed on tweed busts and leathergoods are magnetically attached to the walls.
Bruno Pavlovsky, president of Chanel fashion stated, “What people don’t realize is it’s two locations, but one boutique with one tea. The house’s new accessories boutique is expected to generate 60 percent to 70 percent of the two stores’ traffic.” He also revealed that Chanel has plans to open eight new boutiques in 2014, including Bangkok, St. Petersburg and Chengdu, and renovating 15 more around the world, most notably in Germany.
