Chanel opens in Perth, sixth store in Australia
Chanel opened this week its flagship store in Perth, its sixth boutique to open in Australia, ever since entering the market with the first Chanel boutique in Sydney in 1988. Designed by New York architect Peter Marino, the new boutique will showcase all the modern interpretations of the Chanel design codes whilst preserving the facade that dates back to the original 1896 building.
The boutique has a Parisian feel with inspired white awnings, which surround the glass doors. The interior plays with Chanel’s emblematic palette of white, black and beige, with stone flooring drawing classic lines and subtle gold accents. With a floor plan of 200sqm, the luxury boutique, which will showcase the Ready-To-Wear, leather goods, shoes and accessories is spacious and furnished throughout with fabrications of tweed and custom-made carpets.
