CHANEL launches new timepieces collection at Baselworld 2014

Chanel presented at Baselworld a new version of its iconic J12 timepiece, with a more feminine design wearable all day and all-year round – 365 days a year. Now in a 36,5-mm size (previously unavailable for J12), the watch size makes it ideal for the urban routine. For an extra air of softness, the French luxury house has launched also a 18k gold beige version made from high-tech ceramic paired with steel or beige gold.

Chanel also introduced in Basel its newest haute horlogerie creation, the J12 Flying Tourbillon collection, the 3rd timepiece since 2012 to use a rotating symbol on the flying tourbillon calibre, which was developed exclusively for Chanel. The 2014 collection offers 4 hand-wound models, all limited editions with white gold and diamonds.

Chanel’s 2014 Première timepiece collection features diamond-encrusted and colourful finishings with chain-link wrist straps for a modern and on-trend edge. Chanel’s new 2014 haute timepieces collection also include the Mademoiselle Privé Collection. The motifs on Coromandel screens are reproduced in miniature on the dial in Grand Feu enamel, using the Geneva technique. The understated and elegant design of these precious watches enhances the unique artwork that decorates them.
