CHANEL expands international retail network with seven new stores

In a recent interview to Italian media, CHANEL‘s President of Fashion Division, Bruno Pavlovsky has confirmed his company’s plans to open seven new stores this year – 3 in China, one in Brazil, one in Russia (St Petersburg), one in Luxembourg and one in France (Paris), the annual average expansion rate being 10 stores. Chanel presently operates 176 mono-brand stores worldwide. As for China, Pavlovsky confirmed ambitions of growing the retail network from 7 to 30 stores

Bruno Pavlovsky has also stressed the importance of haute couture as the soul of the fashion house, hence the company’s continuous efforts to attract and train more craftsmen, on average 200 non experienced staff being given the opportunity to be trained at Chanel in various departments. He also stressed Europe’s importance, reason to continue projects such as pop up stores in Capri and St Tropez. Pavlovsky also spoke about the crucial importance of service in the major cities such as Paris, New York and Milan, given the growing number of shoppers from emerging markets such as Chinese, Russians and Africans.
