CHANEL Defies the Impact of the Financial Crisis

The famous Fashion House has stated, at the beginning of this week that the Chanel fashion presentation will suffer no alterations. The presentation is part of the French fashion week, to start on the 4th of March.
Chanel has confirmed the distribution of over 2200 invitations and keeping the entire staff, even if the French press announced certain layoffs. Because of the exposure on the fashion segment, Chanel is one of the most affected by the international crisis, compared with Hermes, Gucci or Vuitton. Sales for these brands are mostly made by leather products and accessories.
