Cartier launches e-commerce in China
After Burberry and Montblanc, Cartier has launched e-commerce in China. The launch was announced via the WeChat mobile app, with a promise of special prices for the Singles’ day. However, the launch has attracted local criticism because of problems connecting to the site, multiple passwords, pages in English and confusion about the prices.
The launch has coincided with the announcement of the departure of Cartier‘s CEO Stanislas de Quercize on 31 December and his replacement by Cyrille Vigneron, the current president of LVMH Japan.
