BURBERRY posts 43,3% retail sales increase in the first Quarter of 2011
British luxury house of Burberry reported yet another record sales growth of 43,3% for the Q1 of 2011. 20% of the retail sales growth came from China where Burberry acquired earlier this year the network of its stand alone stores, registering a 30% year on year increase. Burberry’s CFO indicated that men are driving the impressive sales growth, therefore the company will be putting a focus on menswear. Wholesale revenue 9,2% to GBP 95 million.
