Burberry opens in Hong Kong its largest store in Asia-Pacific
British luxury group Burberry inaugurated this week in Hong Kong at Pacific Place Mall, its largest store in Asia Pacific. The 18th Burberry store in Hong Kong covers 2.000 sqm on two levels and features all the apparel and accessories lines of the house, including the latest watch launch. In the financial reports for the first 9 months, Burberry indicated no decrease in sales in Hong Kong, due to the slow down in China.
Inspiration for new global stores, including this recent opening in Hong Kong, is drawn from the Burberry World Live flagship on Regent Street in London. The company’s CEO Angela Ahrendts indicated recently a focus by the brand on such large concept stores, a strategy that would involve limiting smaller and medium size stores.
