Brunello Cucinelli opens mono-brand store in Bucharest, Romania
Italian luxury house Brunello Cucinelli, known for its exquisit cashmere clothing, opens next week its mono-brand boutique in Bucharest, Romania. The new Brunello Cucinelli situated on Calea Dorobantilor at 198, will be operated in franchising by the same local luxury retail company which has been operating the mono-brand franchises of Canali and Moschino on the Romanian market (each brand with a mono-brand store in Bucharest), as well as a Distinto, a shoes multibrand (Pollini, Casadei, Moschino, Baldinini and a.testoni). In Eastern Europe, Brunello Cucinelli is present with mono-brand stores in Russia (4 in Moscow and one in St Petersburg) and in Ukraine (2 stores in Kiev and one store in Odesssa).
The new opening comes months after the closure of the mono-brand stores of Belstaff and Pal Zileri in Bucharest, the Romanian luxury market being affected by the economic crisis, which was heightened by the 3 month political crisis over the impeachment of the country’s President.
