BOTTEGA VENETA launch travel inspired digital campaign
Italian luxury brand Bottega Veneta is following in the footsteps of Vuitton and Prada and launches its first digital campaign with an imaginative short film from photographer and filmmaker Christian Weber. Inspired by the mystery and allure of travel, Viaggio Notturno (or Night Journey) follows two individuals, played by Patricia van der Vliet and Terron Wood, as they check in to the newly inaugurated Manhattan contemporary luxury hotel, The Setai Fifth Avenue.
Featuring the brand’s Marco Polo hard-case luggage and signature woven leather goods, the film highlights the perks of traveling luxury traveling, as well as the strangeness of being alone in an unknown place. “We all travel, but each of us brings intensely individual hopes and concerns to the experience. When the idea of making a film came up, I wanted to show not just the practical side of travel—the luggage, the eye mask—but also what is surreal, romantic, and potentially transformative about a voyage,” explains creative director Tomas Maier on the brand’s website.
