Bottega Veneta aims to cross the 2 billion euro mark in 2016

After closing 2015 with a turnover of 1.28 billion euro (with a gross profit of 413.8 million) Bottega Veneta aims to reach 2 billion euros in 2016, thanks to the new strategic plan put in place by CEO Carlo Alberto Beretta. In an interview to CorrierEconomia Beretta said “Our roots are in leather, and this will remain the core business. But around that we want to consolidate a number of other products, “says the manager, who bets for the growth of footwear, fashion jewelry and especially on clothing,” without prejudice to the position of absolute luxury. “

The manager  admitted there are several unknowns in 2016, however, special attention will be paid to local clients –  Italian, French, German, Spanish, English, but also Chinese in China as well as Asian travelers. In terms of retail expansion, a second maison flagship store will open in Beverly Hills in May. The brand also expects to open a new store in New York in 2017.
