Bentley launches new furniture collection in Paris at Maison & Objet
British luxury carmaker Bentley (owned by VW Group) has unveiled its latest extended home collection of luxurious furniture at Paris’s design salon Maison&Objet. A collaboration with Italian furniture specialists. the Luxury Living Group, the new pieces follow on from a capsule collection of home and office furnishings that Bentley presented in 2013.
The new Bentley furniture pieces, on show for the first time in Paris this week, include sofas and armchairs, inspired by Bentley’s in-car craftsmanship and were developed by the architect Carlo Colombo with Daniele Ceccomori, Bentley’s Head of Product Design.
Described as an exercise in subtlety, the collection’s color palette is natural and blends tones like mocha and cognac with deep purple-reds, blues and even brick. Materials used mirror those gracing a Bentley interior — wool, cashmere, silk, leather and, of course, wood.
Of the collection, Alberto Vignatelli, CEO and chairman of the Luxury Living Group, says: “We accepted with enthusiasm the challenge of interpreting in furnishings the exclusivity and charm of Bentley. In the Bentley Home collection there co-exists a passion for details, care of materials and a style that anticipates the trends while remaining true to the codes of elegance and tradition.”
