Bauer’s unique approach to SPA, an authentic Venetian experience
Housed within a most serene location, a former convent on the Giudecca island (Michelangelo spent 3 years here in voluntary exile from 1529), the SPA at Bauer’s Palladio is not only the largest luxury SPA at any luxury hotel in Venice (eight treatment rooms on two floors, a total of 450 sqm) but also the most authentic SPA experience, with one-of-a-kind treatments and and a fine range of organic beauty products.
Treatments at the Palladio SPA include: a hair ritual (an oriental massage using aloe, jojoba oil, ginseng, bitter orange and organic olive oil), a luxury facial (micro peeling, ultrasound toning tissues, producing collagen and eliminating differences), the Vitalis Bath (a detoxifying baths using products such as Dead Sea minerals and muds), a body ritual in the Obermaier spa tub, a Magnolia open-air massage in Palladio’s luxuriant gardens After their treatment, guests can relax in the sauna, in the lounge area with direct views of San Marco or during the warmer months, sunbathing in the beautiful gardens of the former convent.
I had a unique Vitalis ritual, a bathing experience in micromolecular steam (a custom made Vitalis tub), with almost instant benefits such as purification and detoxification as well as relaxation for muscles and spine. The bath was followed by an energizing massage using natural mint and peppermint oil.
The SPA also features the Bauer’s very own cosmetics brand Santa Maria degli Angeli, produced by Cooperativa Sociale Reiserimento Lavorativo, using the organic ingredients of the gardens behind the former convent of Capuchin.
