Barbara Bui first half 2015 revenues drop 13,8%
French ready-to-wear and accessories Barbara Bui archived the first half of 2015 with a turnover of 12.8 million euro, a decline of 13.8% compared to the same period 2014. The weak performance, according to a company statement, is attributable mainly to the wholesale channel which registered a sales decline of 17.4%, totaling 6.9 million euro, while the turnover of directly operated boutiques decreased by 6.1% to 5, 9 million euro.
The group is now focusing on directly operated stores to reverse course, stating that in the second quarter there have been signs of recovery at its American flagship store, with an increase of 8.8%. Barbara Bui e-commerce was up 28.5%. The French designer, said she was confident in a stable performance for the entire fiscal year. Barbara Bui will publish the results of the first half of 2015 on September 21. Presently, Barbara Bui products are distributed in France, Italy, United States, Lebanon, Turkey and Ukraine.
