Bally opens new flagship store on Rodeo Drive

The new Bally store covers 550 sqm on two floors with a generous rooftop space. The focus of the ground floor is the women’s shoe gallery, running almost the full length of the site. At the rear is a discrete women’s shoe saloon, while upstairs is the VIP room, men’s shoes and accessories, plus a gentleman’s shoe club.

The new marble façade is over 12m high and runs the length of the store, seeping into the interior with bronze-framed windows that blur the distinction between vitrine and shop.

The designer of the space, David Chipperfield has drawn on the relationship between Bally and pioneering designers of the inter-war years, including Robert Mallet-Stevens and Le Corbusier.
