Audi launches 2016 Q7 e-tron quattro at Geneva Motor Show

The new Audi Q7 e-tron quattro’s drivetrain consists of a turbocharged 3.0-liter V-6 diesel engine paired with an electric motor integrated with the transmission, in this case an eight-speed automatic. The combined output of the system is 373 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque, which Audi says will see the big SUV accelerate from 0-62 mph in just 6.0 seconds and reach a top speed a tick under 140 mph. At the same time, the vehicle will also be capable of returning a fuel economy of 138.4 mpge. The vehicle’s battery is a lithium-ion unit and when fully charged should see the Q7 e-tron quattro cover some 35 miles on electric power alone. With a full tank of diesel also on board, the driving range increases to 876 miles
