Aquazzura ladies’ collection worn by male models in Paris

Florence based Italian shoemaker Aquazzura hosted last week its first presentation in Paris, with some of its high-heels worn by male models. “Our shoes are famous for being comfortable so we wanted to make a point that even the boys can wear them,” said Edgardo Osorio, the Colombian born designer who heads the artistic direction at Aquazzura. The presentation took place during the dinner gala of the 25th Andam prize awards in Paris.

Performing a burlesque-style number while wearing the shoes was the Paris Opera’s newly retired prima ballerina Isabelle Ciaravola, whom Osorio proclaimed has “the best legs, by the way.”

Earlier this year, Aquazurra partnered with Olivia Palermo for a high successful co-branded capsule collection. This October marks another milestone for Aquazzura with the opening its first showroom in home town Florence, at Palazzo Corsini.
