Apple hires two more luxury executives
Catherine Monier, previously the European president and retail head at Saint Laurent, and Musa Tariq, formerlyglobal director of social media marketing at Burberry, have both joined Apple, making them the latest executives at the tech giant to be poached from luxury companies.
Former Saint Laurent CEO Paul Deneve has been with Apple for about a year, working on ‘special projects,’ and is understood to have been involved in bringing in Monier. Monier and Deneve will reportedly join forces to revamp Apple’s retail stores in preparation for the company’s much-anticipated plans to launch a wearable technology device. Meanwhile, Tariq has been hired as Apple’s digital marketing director.
Angela Ahrendts, former CEO of Burberry and Patrick Pruniaux, former Vice President Sales at Tag-Heuer, both joined Apple earlier this year.
